Launch of The Josh Carrick Foundation

jcfEd North, a paralegal at IWG, is currently raising money for The Josh Carrick Foundation, a charity that aims to raise money for frontline research into cancer. Ed co-founded the charity with the friends and family of a close friend who died of testicular cancer in 2011 and have since formed partnerships with Cancer Research UK, IBM and Nottingham University.

The charity has just launched its website and recently attended the RESI awards, being the chosen charity of the event. With £55,000 raised to date, the charity is also about to send the first tranche of money to its chosen project, led by Dr Erik Sahai. With many events in the pipeline, and some credible partnerships in place, the foundation is hopeful of improving on initial success. Ed is running two marathons in the next couple of months, including one in northern Norway. He welcomes donations to his justgiving page.
