IWG has concluded a further round of equity financing for the Bulgaria Mall project in Sofia, Bulgaria (www.bulgariamall.bg/en). The firm had acted on two prior rounds of equity funding for this project, and in respect of a major construction facility provided by Unicredit (Austria and Bulgaria). Those funding rounds financed the construction of a 100,000 square metre shopping mall, which opened in December 2011. The new equity will finance the construction of a 19-storey premium office tower on top of the mall.
MRPI International is the project developer and the principal contractor is Cordeel. Equity finance for the project was arranged by Salamanca Capital and Flemings. Unicredit is represented by CMS Austria.
